SERVICE AGREEMENT - POLICIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cascade Light Pros will provide the design, installation, removal, and storage of holiday and permanent lighting. All lighting and decorations remain the property of Cascade Light Pros unless otherwise specified. This service agreement outlines the expectations and acknowledgment of the client.

Lighting and Decorations

  • Cascade Light Pros warranties the quality of our lighting, materials, and workmanship as described below. If you experience any problems with your lighting or décor, please report them promptly so we can address the issue.
  • Homeowners are responsible for providing and maintaining adequate, functional electrical outlets adjacent to the proposed installation areas. GFCI receptacles may trip in the presence of water or heavy moisture (rain, fog, dew, sprinklers, etc.). Wet décor, outlets, and surrounding areas may take hours or even days to dry before power can be restored. Cascade Light Pros is not responsible for outlets that will not reset due to moisture.
  • Lighting or décor outages must be reported. Cascade Light Pros is not responsible for unreported outages.
  • Repairs required due to vandalism, severe weather, landscapers, or customer-added lights are not covered under warranty and will be billed separately.
  • Power failures or tripping of GFCI circuits due to inclement weather are not the responsibility of Cascade Light Pros. Service calls will be performed if needed, but we are not liable for damages caused by nature.
  • Upon reinstallation, all non-functioning bulbs or miniature light sets installed by Cascade Light Pros will be replaced at no additional charge for a three-year warranty period from the original installation date.
  • As trees and plants grow, additional lighting may be required to maintain the look of the original installation. Additional services will be billed at standard rates.
  • If timer settings are altered by the client and cannot be resolved over the phone, a $75 service fee will be charged.
  • Plugging in non–Cascade Light Pros lighting to timers or outlets provided by us will void your warranty. Service to resolve resulting issues will be billed at a minimum of $75 plus hourly labor.
  • Installation and Removal: Weather plays a significant role in scheduling. Safety of our staff, your property, and materials is our top priority. Cascade Light Pros will begin installations in October for returning customers and continue through early November, prioritizing roofline, trees, and shrubs first.
  • At the end of the season, homeowners are responsible for unplugging timers and cords before takedown. Cascade Light Pros will schedule and perform removals.
  • Cascade Light Pros retains sole discretion over installation and removal scheduling. No breach of contract occurs based on service dates.

Seasonal and Permanent Lighting

  • Seasonal Lighting: Standard holiday lighting is designed for temporary, seasonal use controlled by timers. Seasonal warranties are valid for 90 days. Running seasonal lights continuously without a timer will void the warranty after the first season.
  • Permanent Lighting: Permanent lighting installations include ongoing service options. If repairs require equipment such as a lift, rental fees will be billed to the client. Replacement materials outside the standard warranty period will incur additional costs.

Additional Notes

  • Bows on wreaths are not warrantied but will be replaced once per season at no charge if dislodged.
  • Cascade Light Pros reserves the right to photograph completed projects for use in marketing, brochures, website, and social media. Addresses will not be disclosed, though general town names may be shared. Commercial properties may be identified by name unless otherwise requested.

Billing and Payment

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your installation. The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of installation.
  • All services include materials, setup, installation accessories, labeling, removal, boxing, and storage of décor.
  • Invoices are due upon receipt. If payment is not made at installation, the card on file will be charged the following business day.
  • Late fees:
  • +10% if payment is not received within 14 days
  • +15% if not received within 21 days
  • +20% if not received after 30 days
  • A finance charge of 18% annually (or the maximum allowed by law) applies to past-due balances.
  • Payments are applied first to finance charges, then to outstanding balances. Clients are responsible for collection costs and reasonable attorney fees if the account goes into default.
  • Payment may be made by check, cash, credit card, or PayPal.

Limited Warranty & Liability

Both parties agree that in the event of a malfunction or failure of the lighting or decorations provided, the client’s sole and exclusive remedy shall be either (1) repair or replacement of the lighting/decorations, or (2) a refund of the cost of services, at Cascade Light Pros’ discretion.

Cascade Light Pros is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages to client property caused by malfunction or failure. Any workmanship or material concerns must be submitted in writing within 72 hours of service; failure to do so waives all claims.

I have read, understand, and agree to the above policies, terms, and conditions. Client has the right to rescind this contract by giving written notice to Cascade Light Pros within three (3) days from the date signed.
